Comprising performers from Colombia, Canada and the United States, the D=RxT Trio is dedicated to championing new works for flute, viola and piano. The musicians met at the Eastman School of Music in 2006 and officially formed the ensemble in 2014, bringing a vast array of experience and unique perspective to the ensemble. Having performed in Medellín, Colombia, the trio has also presented works by composers from around the globe in Scandinavia and the United States. Commissions for the ensemble include compositions by Marco Alunno and Mark Olivieri. Additionally, pianist Andrés Gómez Bravo, violist Braunwin Sheldrick, and flutist Tabatha Easley enjoy active careers as soloists and professors of music.
